I'm back.

I realized on the road trip that I didn't post about leaving town to visit my grandma at my parent's home in Kentucky.

I read a comment in the last entry, so I guess I will tackle that first:

Lurker-
My husband makes enough money in the military to pay our regular bills, this is true. Then he picked up the second job and we did enjoy having the extra money. Then I picked up *my* part time job and he quit his. I guess I should mention that we are in debt from the couple years he was a civilian (between serving in the Corps and then the Navy). Every bit of this debt is medical bills due to not having health insurance during that time. In that time, both my son and I had operations. Its a debt I hate having hanging over us and its destroyed our credit. We are slowly rebuilding it, but we do need extra income to help us pay this enormous debt off.

We made some purchases as well when moving here, since we had little to no furniture when we arrived at the new duty station. So we were trying to use the part time jobs to pay those off much faster, as well.

Anyway, I'm not working right now and he's bringing in that extra money so we can make a bigger dent in the bills. We are slowly getting to the point that his military paycheck can soon be all we need to do that, but for the next couple months, any extra income that allows us to enjoy ourselves and pay the debt is a welcome relief.

As for my husband and my relationship being a mystery... well, I'm not surprised. Not too many people met and began dating their spouses at the age of 14. I am guessing they really wouldn't understand a relationship like ours...at the age of 33, we've already been together almost twenty years. We are still learning, still growing, and still holding on.

Yeah the pizza delivery thing.... bad move. But I'm done with it now. Now I'm looking for something *I* want to do. I think I was in such a hurry to make the hubby happy I took the first thing that came along. I am going to check my kids's public school system for some piddly little twenty-hour-a-week entry position to make some fun money.

I will try not to take offense... but we all know criticism, however constructive, always feels a bit yucky.

Sassy, thanks for caring. :) It looks as if my morning sickness period may be past me
and that makes me happy. It means I can get a lot more done, including going to the gym and getting out with the puppy. Ok, who cares about that... I just want to be able to move without wanting to barf.

I maintained my weight over the holidays (yay!) and will begin my new routine today. The puppy is going to be very, very happy to be walked twice a day. I am so determined to not repeat the mistakes of my first two pregnancies.

Pizza Drivers Trying To Start Union
I make $5.15 an hour. So the range in the article is off. I do get $.65 per delivery, but I have done several deliveries with mileage totalling- just for those deliveries back and forth from the store- 23 miles. Originally, we were getting .50 a delivery, but they gave us a 'raise.' Oh, by the way, the drivers haven't received a raise in salary in over three years. And you CAN'T get a raise, EVER, no matter how long you stay. I was thinking of a union the other day when the boss acted like she was doing me a favor for giving me two days off that week. Nice to know there are some who are sick to death of the crap drivers go through.

Its why Im getting the hell out. They dont know it yet, but I've decided to not return after Thanksgiving. Luckily I am not sick today, so Im going to be able to work. My last days are today, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Possibly Monday, but I will not know until Sunday night- you see, the boss doesnt make the schedule for the week until the Sunday right before the week begins. Anyway, I'm finished with the whole business and so excited to find something else.

Its nice to have a day where i am not really queasy. I just feel really tired. :)

Hubby brought me a dozen roses and the Chronicles of Riddick as a surprise! I have never had a dozen roses before so I was sooo shocked. We all sat and watched the movie together- I just LOVE Vin Diesel.

Sick all day. Don't have to wok until Thursday night. Hoping I am not sick. I think Id much rather work than sit here queasy all day.

Managed to keep down two servings of tomatoe soup. With crackers, of course. Drank tea and hubby brought me a medium Coke home and that actually made me feel pretty good. Don't know why. I was high on getting roses anyway, so maybe it was just that.

Hubby says I shouldn't bother going back to work after Thanksgiving. He's making excellent money and he has a point.

I sure hope I am not this sick during my visit to my parents. I want to enjoy my time with my grandma.

Hope everyone is having a good week. I am just now really wrapping my mind around being pregnant. Our neighbor came over with a stroller she no longer uses and the baby crib mattress that's been stored in her garage. So she has already saved us $100. She's cool and I'd lke to get to know her better. If I'm having a boy she says she's giving me all her baby clothes (she has two little boys ages 2 and 4). That would be great!

Ok, that's about all I can type. I'm not much for sitting at the computer feeling ill lately. Bear with me. Hopefully just a couple more weeks of this.

Checking in.

About ten minutes ago was the first time that my morning sickness made me puke. Of course, now that I have, I feel much better. Unfortunately, I think this will be repeated for the next couple weeks. I've been feeling mildly seasick of course, and have missed a couple days of work because of it, but not so bad that I ended up with my head in the toilet. Thank goodness I had enough awareness to tie my hair back right before I started yakking.

Sure hope no one is eating while they read this.

I put in my notice at work and my last day is December 5. Now I have to just make myself go the rest of the time. Thankfully I will be on a road trip with the kids to kentucky next week, from Tuesday afternoon to Monday afternoon. So I really have something like 10 more days of work to sludge through. I will be perusing the Virginia Beach public school system job notices for a part-time job. Right now that is where my interests are- in a situation where I know I will be home with my kids after school and weekends. It also allows me to go to school full-time once I pay off that darned UNL bill.

I am sleeping in short bursts, roughly 3-4 hours, then I get up for a couple hours then head back to bed. This morning I was up at 4:30am and now its a quarter til 8 and Im headed back to bed, probably until noon. Wow, my life is just soooo hard.

Playing in the open beta of World of Warcraft Online and I am shocked to say Im enjoying the game. I will be buying it in December after I get back from Kentucky.

Hubby found a part time security job that pays really well. We are both wanting to put away a good nest egg before the baby comes. My first hospital appointment, now that I've done the mandatory nurse intake appointment, is on December 10.

My weight. *sigh* I have remained the same size yet the scale reports I weigh 220. I have my nutritionist referrel so I can get an idea on how to keep my fat production down. The nurse thought my OB will ok using the nautilus equipment at the gym and walking. I hate that Im going to be revisiting my highest weight ever, but hell, at least I have a pregnancy for a reason for it!!!

I will be just fine. I'm much more savvy to my mistakes and I don't want to repeat them.

I have gone most of this week without morning sickness, until Sunday- when I got hit with a big dose of it while out to see The Incredibles. I got so sickand sooooo sleepy that I called in to work and went to bed. Slept from 3:30pm to 6pm. Then went to bed with hubby at 11pm.

Am I the only person in America who thinks The Incredibles weren't so incredible? I thought it was just...sufficient.

No nausea yet today and I'm due at work around 3:45pm, so I will be napping most of the day so I can keep my eyes open. I am just weeks from being able to quit! I told hubby that depending on what OB says, I will probably look for a part-time day job with the public school system in December. Would be nice to start the New Year with a new job that I won't be frustrated with.

OH--- it was nice to see the Star Wars III preview before the movie. I enjoyed that much more than the feature presentation. WOOKIES, WOOKIES, and MORE WOOKIES!

I'm doing really, really well with my food. Yay me.

Well, the election took a little shine off my good mood, but since I expected it to go the way it did, I'll get over it.

Switched to drinking more water and tea with the occasional soda. Soda intake over the last couple days has been around 12 oz. Water and tea intake has been around 30 oz. I'm hydrated, which is good. I'm taking my prenatal vitamins every day, like I am supposed to.

No nausea today! But I did get hit with the scent of teriyaki chicken (my daughter's dinner) and almost retched. The other scent that sent me off the deep end was some woman's perfume this afternoon when hubby took me out to lunch. I had to leave the restaurant while he paid the bill because she was standing right at the register and I was swallowing hard, trying not to gag. It was lovely going a day without feeling seasick though!

Because of this, I got a lot of housework done, which is fantastic. Also made some calls and found out what we need to do to apply for 4 bedroom housing in base housing. Its simple and should have the paperwork in by the 13th, although we cannot be assigned a new home until after the birth of the baby. Its ok though, since the waiting list is 6 - 12 months anyway. Looks like we could be assigned a place very, very soon after the birth.

Listening to some big band and swing music right now. Love it. we have digital cable and the Music Choice package comes with it. Tons of music choices, including Radio Disney, which we do listen to at least once a week. I listened to some reggae earlier, but felt this channel would help me relax before bed. And its working.

I work for the next four days and I'm worried about getting through the shifts. My boss did the schedule before she knew I was pregnant, so I've got some long shifts. Like tomorrow, I am the late driver, from 4pm - 11:15pm. Well, we all know how that will work out, I will be there til Midnight. And Im going to be exhausted. And on Friday I'm opening at 11pm and scheduled until 10 pm. That is the shift that *really* worries me. I'm sleepy a lot (yay, now I know why!), so I will be trying hard not to want to crawl into the MINI and fall asleep between runs. *sigh* Hubby is considering taking a part time job again, but Id rather he wait until after Xmas. Since that is when I definately was going to quit. He says that maybe I should tell my boos to cut my hours back to where they were, but I will probably take it day by day. He wants me to quit while Im away at my parent's house for Thanksgiving. But I may just try to grit my teeth and get through the next two and a half weeks (then I take a week off for the trip) and continue getting through December. I will definately be asking her to NOT schedule me for eleven hour shifts anymore.

So if I go quiet for the next few days its because Im working and napping. heh.

Well, I can't stop giggling hysterically amnd then crying and back again.

I was so excited, I wanted to tell someone, like NOW, so I hunted down poor Jane on the IM and she already knew. Like she said, I'm a dumbass.

A PREGNANT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!
No cycle for Halloween. So perhaps tomorrow or Tuesday. I am only, what, 3 or 4 days late, so no need to freak out now and then get sad later when it shows up.

The kids had fun running around with their friends for two hours. Hubby and I handed out candy- the first year we've done that. I ate very little of the candy and Im happy about it!

I am off tomorrow! Woohoo, two days off in a row! I will be cleaning the house and catching up. Hubby and the kids have tried to maintain what they could, so it will take me less than two hours to have everything the way I like it. And that includes washing, drying, and folding the laundry. The big surprise will be if the clothes actually make it into their closets and dresser drawers.

Watched Dawn of the Dead with hubby and our son. My son just loved it, found it very entertaining. We are watching the bonus features tomorrow after he gets back from school. I also picked up an Anime DVD ( .hack) for my son and Mulan, which is my favorite Disney movie.

I weighed in today at 215.5, which surprised me. A drop of almost two pounds in less than a week. However, I have cut my calories a lot compared to what I was (unknowingly) taking in while eating Taco Bell on the fly while delivering. So that was a nice thing to see and helped me feel a tad bit better about myself.

I can't wait to get my college bills paid and quit this job.
