I'm back.
I realized on the road trip that I didn't post about leaving town to visit my grandma at my parent's home in Kentucky.
I read a comment in the last entry, so I guess I will tackle that first:
Lurker-
My husband makes enough money in the military to pay our regular bills, this is true. Then he picked up the second job and we did enjoy having the extra money. Then I picked up *my* part time job and he quit his. I guess I should mention that we are in debt from the couple years he was a civilian (between serving in the Corps and then the Navy). Every bit of this debt is medical bills due to not having health insurance during that time. In that time, both my son and I had operations. Its a debt I hate having hanging over us and its destroyed our credit. We are slowly rebuilding it, but we do need extra income to help us pay this enormous debt off.
We made some purchases as well when moving here, since we had little to no furniture when we arrived at the new duty station. So we were trying to use the part time jobs to pay those off much faster, as well.
Anyway, I'm not working right now and he's bringing in that extra money so we can make a bigger dent in the bills. We are slowly getting to the point that his military paycheck can soon be all we need to do that, but for the next couple months, any extra income that allows us to enjoy ourselves and pay the debt is a welcome relief.
As for my husband and my relationship being a mystery... well, I'm not surprised. Not too many people met and began dating their spouses at the age of 14. I am guessing they really wouldn't understand a relationship like ours...at the age of 33, we've already been together almost twenty years. We are still learning, still growing, and still holding on.
Yeah the pizza delivery thing.... bad move. But I'm done with it now. Now I'm looking for something *I* want to do. I think I was in such a hurry to make the hubby happy I took the first thing that came along. I am going to check my kids's public school system for some piddly little twenty-hour-a-week entry position to make some fun money.
I will try not to take offense... but we all know criticism, however constructive, always feels a bit yucky.
Sassy, thanks for caring. :) It looks as if my morning sickness period may be past me
and that makes me happy. It means I can get a lot more done, including going to the gym and getting out with the puppy. Ok, who cares about that... I just want to be able to move without wanting to barf.
I maintained my weight over the holidays (yay!) and will begin my new routine today. The puppy is going to be very, very happy to be walked twice a day. I am so determined to not repeat the mistakes of my first two pregnancies.
